For Patients

Appointments

As Dr. Georgius is a medical specialist, a referral from another doctor (GP or Specialist) is required by Medicare.

Once your referral has been received, our admin team will contact you to make an initial appointment. On making your appointment, you will be sent questionnaires to complete. These need to be completed and returned to the office prior to your appointment.

Initial appointments can be offered in either the Noosa Heads office or Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital suite.

What to expect

In order to plan the right approach to treating you, Dr. Georgius will conduct a comprehensive assessment that will include a nurse review, a full medical assessment, a medication review and a
functionality assessment. He will also assess the psychological aspects of your pain and may ask you some confronting or unusual questions. These are important for a successful diagnosis.

Allow 1 hour for your initial consultation. You are welcome to bring a support person to the appointment. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow for administration.

Please bring recent x-rays and scans, ensuring reports are included. If you do not have the reports, please request them from your GP. You will also need a copy of your current medication list that includes only the medications you are currently taking. You may need a pharmacy review.

Telehealth

Telehealth video consultations are available for patients. Initial consultations are face-to-face however, if appropriate, follow-up Telehealth consultations can be organised.
